Maria Gallagher is a London and New York based journalist reporting on the capital markets. Her previous coverage includes the leveraged loans market, stock market analysis and macroeconomic outlooks. She has interviewed prominent leaders in finance and economics including Daniel Kahneman and Morgan Housel. While working for The Motley Fool, Maria was heavily featured on Motley Fool Money, a top business podcast where she gave insights on daily business news as an senior equity analyst specializing in sustainable investing.

After studying Psychology at Northeastern University she worked in finance before obtaining a Masters in Economic History from University of Cambridge.

Her other passions include the New York downtown art scene of the 1960’s and the summer of 1816 when Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein.
